Evolution

Die Summe aller Informationen in der Evolutionsgeschichte auf vier Quadratmeter Bildfläche zu schaffen, ist unmöglich. Aber der Versuch, wenigstens einen Hauch davon zu visualisieren, trieb mich leidenschaftlich dazu an, vier Bilder im Großformat zu schaffen. Die Elemente Erde, Feuer (Gase), Wasser und Luft (Kosmos) halfen dabei, das Experiment umzusetzen. Die Werke sind direkt mit den Elementen gemalt.

Mensch, Tier und Vegetation stehen hierbei im Kontext. Ein ewiger Kreislauf entsteht. Mal schemenhaft umrissen, mal figurativ, mal abstrakt. Der Betrachter wird zum Entdecker vom Ursprünglichem, Gegenwärtigem, Neuem, Verborgenem und Unfertigem. Menschliche und animalische Triebe werden ebenso visualisiert, wie Zukunftsvisionen. Letztendlich endet alles im Kosmos direkt im schwarzem Loch.

Entstanden in den Jahren 2010 bis 2013

Bringing the sum of all information in the history of evolution onto four square metres of canvas is impossible. But the attempt to realize at least the faintest bit of it was motivation enough to create four large-format artworks. The elements earth, fire (gas), water and air (cosmos) assisted the experiment. The paintings were made directly with their forces.

Human, animal and vegetation interact with each other. An eternal cycle comes into being. Sometimes in traced outlines, sometimes figurative, sometimes abstract. The viewer becomes an explorer of the initial, the present, the new, the hidden and the incomplete. Human and animalistic drives are depicted, as well as visions for the future. And finally, it all comes to an end in a black hole.
