Oxidation | ein Experiment

Der Prozess einer Oxidation verläuft in mehreren Schritten und ist abhängig von Raum, Zeit, Temperatur, Licht und Feuchtigkeit. Die Vielfalt der erzeugten Farbschichten durch natürliche Oxidationsmedien sind anhand digitaler Fotografien dokumentiert worden.
Bis ein Oxidationsprozess vollkommen abgeschlossen ist, vergeht viel Zeit und er ist nur schwer zu beeinflussen. Ein bewusst verursachter Alterungsprozess, der enorm farbengewaltig bis mystisch-morbid hervortritt. Das abstrakte Werk ist über einen Zeitraum von mehreren Monaten entstanden.

Die abgebildete OXIDATIONS-Serie wird durch das Kulturamt Düsseldorf, sowie die Bürgerstiftung Düsseldorf 2020 gefördert.

The process of oxidation takes a couple of steps and is dependent on environment, time, temperature, light and humidity. The richness of the layered colours, that were created with natural oxidation mediums, was captured in digital photography.

Until an oxidation process is entirely completed, a lot of time has to pass and it is hardly influenceable. A process of ageing that appears abounding in colours to mystical morbid. This abstract art work was being made throughout a period of several months.
